Wulong Tea is, in our humble opinion, the finest variety of tea available at this time in history. Grown in Taiwan, plantations and growers did not undergo the upheaval of civil war, socialization under Communism, and destruction during the Cultural Revolution that their mainland counterparts did. It was in Taiwan that the current Gongfu Tea Ritual was perfected and still practiced daily by many.
Wulong’s semi-fermentation gives it a sweet but strong flavor that lingers in the throat long after finishing your cup. The rich aroma becomes intoxicating when using fragrance cups. An excellent tea to be enjoyed any way and the ideal tea for the Gongfu Tea Ritual. We include our personal recommendations on how to best enjoy your Wulong Tea with each order.
•$20 per 100gDong Ding Wulong
•$40 per 100g Li Shan Wulong
•$80 per 100g Da Yu Ling Wulong
Difference in grades is determined by elevation and location of the tea farm; care when sorting and processing the leaves; and the quality of the bush itself. We source our $40 and $80 grades from Lishan, and our $20 grade from Lugu.
Our $20 grade is a simple tea that can be brewed without too much care, whereas the $80 grade is our favorite tea, hands down. With the proper utensils, it is ideal for pursuing the Dao through tea.
